So everyone keeps asking me how college is going, or how I'm liking it. You want to know what I always say: "Eh.." That's how I feel. There is only a few major differences so far and the first is that the second you walk into the building you get the overpowering scent of coffee. The next two is that there are so many tattoos, and people wearing hats. I got a little freaked out when I saw the first person wearing a hat and in my head I'm thinking 'dude you need to take the hat off or your going to get in trouble with the teacher' Yeah that doesn't happen. Another strange thing is that there is designated smoking areas. I hate it so much when I have to walk near there, its like they don't care if you don't smoke they just blow it in your face, and then you spend the next twenty minutes coughing your lungs out. Perhaps the biggest difference is that everyone and their dog is married and/or has kids. Very weird. The classes aren't hard, they're just very fast paced and what not, I like to refer to this first semester of college as High School Part Two. The next thing I want to address is how everyone is in their own bubble. Now I'm not saying that I'm this super outgoing person or anything, but it's like no one has a social life, and that's saying a lot coming from me. Parking sucks. Enough said. It would be so much better if they didn't give so much parking area to the employee's. Every time I walk by the employee parking spots there are maybe twenty of them filled, and they have like three or four rows, while the students have like two. It's infuriating.
